Beltline is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Paducah Regional Science Bowl, which took place on February 5 and 19, 2016, for middle and high school teams respectively. The event was hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy, University of Kentucky, and the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business Education Partnership at the University of Kentucky’s campus in Paducah.
Winning teams have been invited to the 2016 National Science Bowl final, which will be held April 28 through May 2, 2016 in Chevy Chase, Maryland. In addition to the national finals tournament, students attend seminars covering the latest topics in science and technology. Though this year’s candidates receive a stipend for expenses to participate in the national event, funding for the Regional Science Bowl is generated through tax-deductible contributions like that donated by Beltline Services. Amounts will go towards prizes and other items intended to encourage the participation of the area’s middle and high schoolers.
